Hi,
I'm getting a new Dell computer that will have XP home. I have a Quantex that has been upgraded to XP home. I wonder if the transfer wizard will help. I really only want to be able to move my favorites and my e-mail (Outlook express) stuff. Maybe some other things if it seems to work ok. Has anyone had any luck with it? Or should I just do it manually and save the heartache?
Thanks,
John

As the name implies, XP's Files and Settings Transfer Wizard can transfer
"files and setting" only.....not programs. Your programs must be installed
using
the original installation media. Install your programs on your new computer
before
using the transfer wizard.

Carey,
Thanks for the info. I didn't know it wouldn't move programs too. But
that's not a big deal. Thanks again,
John
