My problem:

I have a Windows 98 laptop and a Windows 2000 desktop
connected to a wireless network. I am able to connect
both computers to the internet, without any difficulties.

I cannot share any files or print from the laptop on the
printer that is connected to the desktop computer.

I have pinged from the Windows 2000 desktop and it is able
to find the Windows 98 laptop, but when I do the reverse
(ping from the Windows 98 laptop to the Windows 2000
desktop) it times out.

I am at a loss on how to make this work and feel that I
have tried everything.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance for the help!!

hmmm...seems incredibly simple, but make sure when you
are pinging the 2k machine you are using the right ip
addy. see if you have a static ip addy on the 2k
machine. as far as file sharing...win2k is very user
based/intensive. There may be an issue there.
