I have several files that I moved from one folder to a
sub folder. They are now unaccessable. When I try to
open them I get the error message that they are marked as
a read only file. I press yes to open as read only file
and then I get the error message that access is denied.
I can not move or copy the file. I have check my backup
diskette of this folder and the whole sub folder is not on
the backup. I'm signed on as administrator so it should
not be a authority problem. This is the same user id that
I used to create the files and move the files. Of the
around 30 files I hae found about 5 on a backup diskette
which I can access and modify, but these files are older
versions. and are saved in the oringinal folders

Any ideas on how to get to the files?

Rightclick on that subfolder and check the security. If you are in with
admin rights, you can add yourself to the list. Don't forget to check the
box to apply this to all files.
