Fields/Columns in Current View

When using BCM in Office 2007 I find it annoying that each time I click out
of Contacts and then back in again the default fields/columns reappear. I
have tried amending them using the field chooser and the customize current
view but to no avail. Does anyone know how I can make my selection of fields
stick?
 
The author has now discovered the way to achieve the desired result but what
a faff!! If anyone else comes across the same problem enter "Define View"
into the search bar and the answer is there. Essentially the result is
acheived using the "View - Current view - Define views" menu option and
taking a copy of the one you want to use, amending the columns and saving it
so it appears in the view pane.
