Field Properites - Number datatype

I would like a SIMPLE explanation of the field size property for the number datatype. e.g. byte, integer, single, double. etc

Open either Access Help or VB Help. Click the "Answer Wizard" tab and
type: field size in the search criteria box. You will see a complete
description of each field size setting, including the decimal precision and
storage size for each.
