Field Name Question

Hi - I am trying to import a database from ACT 4 into
Outlook. When you first open a contact in Outlook there
is a huge data entry field, on the General Tab) that takes
up half the page (in full screen mode). Can anyone tell
me the name (and purpose) of this field? I have data in
my Notes1 field in ACT I would like to map into this field
and need the name in order to do so. Two more questions
if you don't mind.

1 - can I change the screen layout (like I can in ACT) so
that certain fields appear on this first "General" tab?

2 - can I add fields, again like I can in ACT, that could
hypothetically be a date field or currency field, etc?
