Few IE Problems....Please Help

As the topic goes, that is the problem. I have to go to the XP task manager to shut it down. This is very annoying, and just suddenly happenend. I know I have the HuntBar and ClientMan.bho1 spyware, and yesterday I just cleaned out a ton of spyware on this thing so perhaps that did it?

Second problem is highlighted links that are words on web pages. That may be due to one of the above mentioned spyware (I can't remember to be honest with you). Any ideas?

Last problem, ton of pop up's so suddenly. There's enough that gets by my blocker to make it a total annoyance now. Again, can it be due to the above?

Any help is much appriciated.
 
yes, i'd say you have a spyware and/or virus problem.
short of a clean install, which i would do. get
spybot,adaware, hijackthis(careful of this one)
BHODemon.exe and use em.

Hey, thanx. I've already got the Adaware and SpyBot.....unfortunately, they are not exactly cooperating right now. But i'll give the other two a try.
 
So far so good. The pop ups are gone for now, and I can close the internet with no problems. And yes, you do need to watch out with that HijackThis.....but the BHODemon works great. Thanx again.
 
By the way, anyone know of words being highlighted on web pages, but they are really links to other useless pages? (they offer a small ad when you put the pointer on them) Sound familar to anyone?
