I never used access before yesterday, im self taught. I receive text
delimited files daily, for the purpose of direct marketing. I purchased a
direct thermal printer. by the way labels not on available list so i created
the label in reports/ custom label wizard. Yesterday i figured how to
transfer mailing list, to access/tables. However when i trasferred field 1 i
typed first name afterwards, and feild 2 typed last name...funny huh, because
when i went to label preview dah...it had their first name and what i typed
(first name)...he he he, but and heres the big butt...all the names on the
list were in one column continous...the way it should preview...So when i
went back and fixed the fields.....my prevew now shows up one lable in top
left hand corner, and the next contact dosent show up till everyother 4
pages???? in other words my list of 200 names is comprised of 262 pages in
the preview....what did i do???? ive literally spent 12 hours figuring this
out>>>>Please help

You should feel very stupid for posting a subject line with that kind of
statement.

PLONK!

I agree with Stephen.
However, here is a potential answer to your issue with the report.
I suspect in your attempt to create the report I think you may have enormous
blank spaces in your detail band when looking at your report in design view.
Drag the right margin all the way to the left, it will remain wide enough to
accomodate the text and label fields. Now do the same with the bottom margin
of the detail field. With other words reduce the wasted space in all bands
you may have used and I think you will get a more reasonable report.
Hope this helps.
