Re: WINXP Home + Internet Explorer Ver.7
I have posted a more detailed question in the 'Office NG' but my problem
relates to interaction between Internet Explorer 'FeatureControl' and Office
2007 that prevents running a 'repair' on Office 20007.
The problem is when I try to 'repair' Office 2007 the 'repair' process
(either using the installation CD or from loaded files) is stopped at a
message stating I do not have permision to access the Registry key
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\Feature_Restrict_ActiveXInstall.
If I visit this 'key' all permisions are unchecked (I am Administrator)
and'greyed' out so I cannot change the permissions.
Can anyone give me advice on how to overcome this problem?
