It would be nice for microsoft to add How to fix winsock
problem or how to troubleshoot lost connection on the
help section of Microsoft Antispyware showing step by
step on how to it because on the newsgroup i've notice a
lot of post about lost connection and firewall cannot be
enable. In the mean time the help section of MSAS should
have a troubleshoot section.

I have yet to see MS providing solutions for 3rd party applications unless they
are partners.

as for fixing the winsock problem, stay tuned for my unofficial faq.

step by step instructions for a beta software?

MSAS is still beta

If you search on the key "known issues", and read the "release notes" in
build .509 of the beta (see help, about to see which version you have)--this
issue is noted, along with the kb articles giving the fix.

Use the method below which fits your OS version. If you are on XP SP2, use
the second method:

1) (winsock reset for 2k, xp pre sp2, and 2003 pre sp1)

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;817571

2) (Winsock reset for xpsp2)

netsh winsock reset

enter
restart machine.

After resetting Winsock, applications which have added themselves to the
stack will need to be reinstalled. These may include third-party VPN
clients, some McAfee privacy or network security related software, and
others--check what is working and what is not.
