I have installed Windows XP Embedded SP2 and am also trying to install the
2007 Feature Pack. I keep getting an error with the install "The upgrade
patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the
program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a
different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded
exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch."
Do I understand correctly that the feature pack adds additional
functionality to the SP2 version of the embedded tools (and database) or do I
have it wrong? I am specifically looking for the ability to add an EWF
(enhanced write filter) to the image because I want to boot from a cf flash
memory.
Is this a Vista issue?
