With PPT2000 on a Win98SE machine, I'd like to feather some images so that
they will easily blend into my presentation's background.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to how I can do this QUICKLY and
EASILY?

Thanks!

Will

You need to do it in a paint program outside of PowerPoint.

Will,

Powerpoint XP has this kind of feature built in.

e.g. fade from image to the background.

That's one reason to upgrade?

Draw an autoshape the same color as your background
Place autoshape over your background
Fill color
Fill Effects
Choose "one color"
Slide the transparency thingy all the way to the right.

The autoshape will then feather the edges of your image to the background
color.

But don't tell everyone these secret tips

Cheers

Shhhhhh,

Don't tell anyone this top tip. Otherwise there will be no "magic mystery"
left for us powerpoint experts.
