Is there any detailed documentation available on exactly what fbreseal
does?

I am unable to progress further until I resolve an issue with it.

I seem to recall that 2 support incidents are included when the XPe dev
tools are purchased. Is this true? Does it expire? I purchased the
tools in 2004 and used an incident about 2 years ago.

Is anyone from MS reading this group at all?

The viability of the product I'm working on (and my job) is now
officially in question unless I can sort out this problem soon.

What should have taken less than 2 weeks is about to go into it's 6th
week.

I convinced my company to choose XPe over Linux initially, four years
ago, because it seemed like it would be a quicker time to market. And
it was. I had some teething problems, but with help from Slobodan and
Konstantin, I got them sorted out.

I've had to produce a few more builds in that time and they have gone
reasonably smoothly, but now I need to produce the final build for all
our old machines in the field to support new functionality in our
software.

I really need the new features in FP2007 and it seems something has
changed to prevent me from using the procedure I have used in the past.
I'm absolutely sure I could sort this out myself if I was using a
system where I had access to the source code or if there was detailed
documentation on *exactly* what fbreseal does.

I don't know who to contact at MS. Based on my previous experience, the
Australian MS office barely even knows XPe exists.

If someone want to take this private, just remove the spam trap from my
reply-to address.

Specific problem you are seeing or just looking for info in general?

I have a situation where when I use fbreseal on one machine, the USB
won't work on another machine with the same motherboard.

If I don't use fbreseal, USB works when I transfer the image to another
machine, but EWF fails.

I suspect that fbreseal is not even really needed in my case. I just
use basic TCP/IP to communicate with custom software. My machines can
not join a domain or workgroup, Client for Microsoft Networks is
disabled and I don't use the computer name. I'd like to know if that is
likely to be a correct assumption.

I have posted several messages here recently about these problems.
