Faxing over an office network

Hello all,

Is is possible to implement a fax solution over a TCP/IP network? A
computer
and
a fax machine (Savin 2560) are both on a Windows 2000 network, each with
its
own IP
address, but not attached to each
other directly, and I would like to send faxes from the computer using the
fax machine. I'm not
sure if the Symantec Starter Edition that comes with Outlook 2000 has this
ability.

Thanks in advance for any advice!
 
Symantec Starter Edition does not have this feature, nor does any other
group faxing solution; none of them will allow you to use a stand-alone fax
machine. Both Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft's Small Business Server
application have a shared fax service that will give you group faxing
through one or more fax modems attached to a computer. There are a number
of third party group faxing applications available, the following page is a
