I am trying to fax multiple documents thru the windows fax. When I preview
the fax, it is only showing the first docuemnt, and not the second. Is it
possible to fax from multiple files on the same fax?

Gary

No. The only way you can do that is to fax them all as attachments to an
Outlook message.

Thanks Russ. I'm not too experienced with outlook, but will look at
researching that end of it. I just cant believe microsoft can't have a fax
use 2 different files opened like a cover letter and a resume and send at
same time. Hopefullay a new version will correct that shortfall. Again,
thanks!!!!!

Don't hold your breath. In case you haven't noticed, each successive version
of fax has been worse, not better. I fully expect fax to disappear soon.
Support for it will be removed from the next version of Outlook, for
example.

I’ve done it this way.

Print the first file to the “Microsoft Office Document Image Writer.”
This opens a “Microsoft Office Document Imaging” window for the file.

Do the same for several files, and there’ll be several windows: one per
file.

Next, we want to combine the pages into a single file. To do this, notice
that each of the “Imaging” windows has a left pane with thumbnails of the
page(s). Using right-click, “Copy” one or more thumbnails from the left
pane of one window and “Paste” it into the left pane of another.
Repeating this several times, the entire fax can be merged into a single
window. Finally, fax from that window.

Hope this helps. It’s not elegant, admittedly.

If you do this sort of thing a lot, you might want to look into
http://fineprint.com/products/fineprint/index.html
for an add-on program that (among many other features) can combine
several print jobs into one, with fewer steps than using Image Writer.

Finally, check into the features of your scanner’s software for the
future. Mine (Epson 3490) allows multiple pages to be scanned into one
file.
