faxing from window xp

hs any one used the built in fax i am tring for the
first time and can not get one to go through . what am i
doing wrong ?

Works for me, but some can, some can't. Apparently the built-in fax
software is very picky about the modems it will work with. What
make/model of fax modem is installed in your system?

Also, if you re-post, please include any error messages and describe
what you're doing and what exactly happens. Just saying that it doesn't
work isn't sufficient.

If you're attempting to fax with a DSL connection you can sit there from now
to doomsday and you'll never get one sent. Faxing requires an analogue modem
connected to a standard phone line.
 
Can you please specify the problem you are facing? Is your fax setup but you
are unable to send or receive faxes [getting errors while doing so] or you
are having trouble setting up fax at all?

The following modems are recommended for XP Fax to work [other modems may be
incompatible]
