I posted a message about this back on September 30th and
replied to say that I had finally figured it out. I have
but am having one problem. When there is any sort of
attachment such as our logo, it will not go thru. I
receive an error message saying, "The Microsoft Fax
transport failed to deliver the message to the recipient.
Not all attachments can be rendered."
Is there any way to correct this?
P.S. Since posting this problem I have received
approximatetly 500 Microsoft virus emails. 250 have come
thru just in last 2 days. I read an answer to this in
another post that said don't enter your email address.
This is a pretty lame excuse when this website is
supposed to be Microsoft which should be trusted??????

The error message told you the answer. Your logo has a graphic that cannot
be rendered. Neither Outlook nor the Windows XP Fax Service has any
rendering ability. If you want to fax information that requires rendering,
you must Print to the Fax Printer from an application that can provide that
rendering ability. Lose the logo if you want to use XP Fax with Outlook.
Otherwise, you'll need to invest in a full featured fax program.

Perhaps you were not aware that this is simply a public usenet group. No one
can stop idiots from posting the swen virus nor can they stop idiots from
harvesting your email address and spoofing it when you include it in your
posts.

Yes, thanks, I was aware that it was a simple usernet
group but it also has Microsoft's name on it. I along
with most other business people have too much on their
plate to have to start dealing with hundreds of junk
email from people that need to get a job. I have now
blocked anything with the word Microsoft included. You
would think this would be enough for Microsoft to either
take their name off of these sites or to spend some money
to figure out how to fix the problem. Very frustrating
but I am now done venting for the day. Thanks.

Microsoft does host the sites, but they have no more control over the nntp
protocols and how they can be abused than anyone else. From what I can tell
Microsoft has been working 24/7 to try to repair these newsgroups. We all
share your frustration because we've all been hit. It's the thanks we get
for posting here trying to help people.
