I am trying to fax multiple pages, scanning documents
with the Dell A940. Can't figure out how to fax more
than one page. Anyone help? Mary

Faxing multiple documents in a single fax (as opposed to faxing a multipage
SINGLE document) can be done with:

- Outlook sending the documents as attachments
- Microsoft Office Tools/Microsoft Office Document Scanning - this will
prepare a multipage single document from multiple documents which can be
printed to fax.
- Adobe Acrobat Import to scan documents to a single file then print to fax.

Mulitpage SINGLE documents are printed to the Fax printer from the
application used to generate the document.

To fax multiple pages you can make use of the fax service that is provided
along with windows. Once you install the fax service, it will be abstracted
as a printer in your Printers and Faxes folders. After that you can print
any printable document (even multi page) to that printer and send it as a
fax. The prerequisites for sending a fax are :-

1. An analog phone modem.
2. Fax Service needs to be installed.

After installing modem , to install fax service in XP the following is the
procedure that you need to follow:-

Go to Control Panel -> Add Remove Programs -> Windows Components -> Choose
Fax Services. (this will require you windows XP CD).

If you can specify the windows version, we can help you further in
installing the fax service.
