When I bought my computer it came with windows xp and I am trying to set up a fax through my printer but it asks me for my windows xp home edition service pack 1 cd and I don't have it. It never came with it. Can someone tell me what to do?
 
Contact the OEM. It is their responsibility to provide you with the complete
installation files. Windows XP Fax is for use with an analog fax modem, by
the way, not your all-in-one printer.

Try directing the request to c:\i386.

Usually OEM puts there a copy of the WinXP install disc.

You can download and install SP1 on your machine from -

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=322389

Now try installing fax. Does it work now? If it asks for
specific files, you might need to point it to the i386
subfolder.
