Fax Services in XP

I cannot uninstall or discontinue use of this service even when I go into
the Control Panel and click on Remove Windows Components. The dialogue box
says one can add and remove services from there but all I see an option for
is to add services. Also, the box by Fax is checked, however, it shows no
detail but 3.8 size of file. What can I do to remove this service without
going into msconfig?

Just UNcheck the box next to Fax and click Next.
