We have installed Windows XP Home Edition with a modem inside. The modem works properly when initiating calls via HyperTerminal. We have insalled the fax components also for Windows (there is a menu group within Accessories\Communications\Fax) According to the help we have created a fax object within "Printers and faxes". During its setup the system wanted to setup a printer, the dialog suggested only printers instead of the installed modem. The fax service is not working at all and the Communication center displays "No faxing service installed". How could we overcome this problem
Thanks a lot fot help in advance

Post the message the "system" (what system?) gave you more clearly, and at
what point in the installation process.

Why are you still using such unhandy thing as Hyper Terminal? Recently
I've found an interesting program - Flash Terminal. It is really Hyper
Terminal killer. With Flash Terminal you can chat and exchange files
via modem (including v.90, ISDN, ADSL, GPRS) and null-modem
simultaneously without Internet! You can exchange up to 255 files at
once with unlimited transfer resuming after connection break. Program
includes large amount of nice avatars.
