Hiya,
I am having a problem here sending faxes through windows 2000 server
edition...
Normally things run smoothly but just now we had a problem where for some
reason the modem wasn't sending the fax out... it just sat in queue
An error popped up and said there was no device set to send
So... I opened up the Fax Service Manager and looked and there was no
devices listed at all (there is a fax modem present and the modem had been
sending faxes that morning)
We rebooted the server and the modem appeared in the "devices" listing again
in the Fax Service Manager...
So our problem would be:
Our modem is disappearing, for no obvious reason, from the device listing in
the Fax Service Manager and the only way we can get it back is with a
reboot...
Any suggestions on what might be causing this? Is it the modem (an AOpen
win modem)? Windows 2000 problem? Something else?
Thanks
Clint
