FAX Program Editing

I've really been very pleased with the features and
stability since installing XP. However, I have a
question about the FAX program that is included with XP.
I frequently have to edit fax images for business purposes
(deletions, adding text, etc). The Windows Image Editor
does not do a very good job of editing and usually breaks
the image into multiple files (or pages) making it
impractical to forward as a PDF or fax image to another
person. Can you recommend a third-party add-on program
that will provide better editing capabilties but utilize
the XP fax program for receiving or sending faxes? I
really don't want to go back to WIN FAX Pro thanks to
horrible customer service experiences with Symantec.
Thanks.

You can use MODI (Microsoft Office Document Imaging) available in Office
2003 to edit images and send as fax using Outlook and Fax mail transport
already available on you machine. Here is a sneak preview of its
capabilities.

PS: "Fax mail transport" is a MAPI component that enables sending faxes via
outlook using the Windows fax service available on the box.
