Fax Printer as default

Is there a solution for the xp pro printer problem with the fax printer.
Every time I open up the print command the "fax" printer shows as the
printer. I can open up the selection menu and select my regular printer, but
that has to happen everytime I print. A real pain.

go to start>settings>printers and faxes
right click on your printer and select set as
default.

Go to Control Panel + Printers. Right-click the printer that you'd
like to be the default and select "Set as default printer"

I had tried that before and for some reason it had not worked. Tried again
and it did.
