Although my Windows XP Fax feature still sends faxes from
WordPerfect, the Fax Monitor has suddenly stopped
appearing when I send a fax. So I cannot monitor the
progress of the sending or know when it has been
completed.

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing from
the 'Add/delete programs section in the Control panel but
this makes no difference.

Could anyone advise how to cure this please?

A number of standard update and repair procedures disabled the Fax Monitor
in the initial release of Windows XP. These problems were fixed in Service
Pack 1. Make sure you apply SP1 if you notice this problem.

Just in case installing SP1 still does not help, please check the following
setting.

Start -> Printers and Faxes -> Right Click on Fax -> Click on Properties ,
at this stage, a new UI comes up. Go to the Tracking Tab, click on the check
boxes you want.

Thanks,
Anand
