fax/modem

can any1 tell me if this site is telling me the truth about the modem having
fax capabilities

Looking past thr item description, I see nothing in the specs states
FAX capability, and no mention of any of the FAX protocols, either. I
really they think made a mistake with the Item Description.

transmissions

They don't. The technologies between analogue data and FAX modems
are similar enough that they can be put on the same chipset. Digital
modems (DSL/Cable) use a completely different technology.
 
It was a typo in the product name - as previous replies have said, ADSL is a
completely different technology to normal FAX Modems so ADSL doesn't act as
a FAX like a dial-up modem would.

I've fixed it now - sorry for any confusion!
 
Hi,

if you're fixing typo's.....
The site also mentions "Support G.922.1, G.922.2 Transmission protocols"
I think that should have been G.992.1 and G.992.2 :-)
 
Bugger, I'll get that sorted too - and deal with those responsible.
