Window labeled fax; states "the feature you are trying to use is on a CD-Rom
or other removable disk that is not available. Insert fax disk and click OK."
Problem:
I am not trying to install fax. How can I get Window to stop coming each
time I turn on computer?

You have to use Administrative Tools to turn off Fax Service under the
Services subtopic.

I think I got to the right place (administrative tools under svcs.
subtopic),
but could find nothing under the list of services (local) about Fax. Can
you
guide me again?Thanks.
This error also occurs when you try to access an uninstalled feature of
Microsoft Office. Those features are installed when first accessed. Some
feature of Microsoft Office may be trying to install files which are not
available because the installation media is inaccessible. Many OEM computer
companies install programs from a network location rather than from each
individual computer. The Registry remembers the installation source, which
is no longer available. The Event Viewer, accessible from Administrative
Tools, could give you a code as to what program is involved.

But Fax is not a feature of Microsoft Office, and Office programs never
prompt for it.
OP needs to provide more complete and accurate information as to the steps
that lead to the error message and the exact content of that message.
