Folks, I need a good, reliable freeware fax driver that will allow me to
send documents from Word via a faxmodem. Any recommendations?

Thanks.

It called fax software not fax driver.

Actually, it's called a fax driver. It appears on the "print to" menu.
You use it to send a document to a fax machine rather than a printer or a
file, and it works within your word processing program. A fax program is a
stand-alone program, perhaps like Symantec's WinFax pro.

I really do know what I need.

There a list of Freeware FAX apps here:

Susan

Firefox tells me that the domain www.pricelesswarehome.org cannot be found.
Is there a typo?

Thanks.

For what OS ?
Because XP has that...

Loaded instantly for me. As for the FAX driver (not program), I can't
help you there because I don't even have a fax-modem card installed in
my computer. But Jeff, you'd be more likely to get some help if you
said what version of Windows you're using.

Nope - looks like the site is off-line ATM - that seldom happens -
should be temporary - try again in a little while.

Susan

Thanks -- I'll do it. I appreciate the help.

Yup, already had that pointed out -- my bad. It's Win98 SE.

The page you refer to has a link to the download, but the dowload doesn't
work. It accesses an ftp site that I don't have access to, I'm stopped in
my path.

They don't allow anonymous FTP access. Also, the site opens several
popups, unders etc. The download is from a Russian server.
I found an alternative download site, and it's coming down right now:

http://www.dynalink.com.au/files/bwmonorev01.exe

Thanks again!

If you aren't able to send a fax using Cheyenne Bitware, go here for
suggestions on how to tweak it so it might work:

Thanks again! I'm about to try my first fax. This really looks like a
good program. I'll let you know.
