fax/answer machine possible?

Some please help!!I have a dell windows xp.Does it have a answer machine in the system as well as a fax machine?I am computer dumb!I want a answer machine and fax machine without actually buyimd them seperatly.Is this possible???

Fax yes. Answer phone I don't believe as a standard windows program, but
you'd probably find some software available as shareware if you look round,
If you want that functionality, you'll also need a modem that supports it.
Check your dell/modem package for details.
