fax and print settings

when I send a print job to printer it goes to the fax and
I get nothing printed. This is a new computer HP pavilion
a350n. I have never used the fax. thanks for help.

There is only one reason it will default to the fax and that's because you
don't have a printer installed, or it isn't installed correctly. Visit the
manufacturer's website and download the latest XP driver for your printer -
or check the XP CD, there may be a basic native driver for your printer.

Run the Printer set-up wizard to have Windows attempt to redetect your
printer and install the driver from the XP CD.
 
Please check if your printer shows up in Printers and Faxes
[Start->Settings->Printers and Faxes]. Also see if your printer is the
default printer configured [right click and set the printer as the default
printer]
