Locate in Explorer your Favorites-folder, right-drag it to your desktop and
select 'Create shortcut here'

In case the start menu would be more convenient for you, there's an
option to add Favorites via
right-click start button, properties, customize
(in the box) Display Favorites

R-clk favorites, drag to desktop, create shortcut here.
