Favourites

If I am thinking of changing my PC, is there a simple way to save all my
bookmarked favourties and re-install them on my new PC, or is the 0olny
solution to write them all down manually, then 'load' them in one by one on
the new computer? I have about 40 favourites, so any help would be
appreciated, or it will be a long manual job otherwise!

I copy mine to a floppy or copy the favorite folder across a network to a
different computer.

You will find them in a folder named Favorites in the Documents and Settings
folder under your login. Just copy them to a floppy or cd and move them to
your new computer under the same folder

Put a formatted diskette in your floppy drive. Open Internet Explorer. Go to
File/Import and Export and use the Wizard to back up your favorites to the
diskette. Take the diskette to your new computer, go to File/Import Export
and use the Wizard to import your bookmarks.

Open Internet Exploder, at top, click on File, Import and Export, Export
Favorites, select favorites, select where you want it. After you have done
that, email the file as an attachment to yourself. When you get your
new/other PC running, open that email account, save the attachment to your
drive, then using the same method you exported your favorites, import them
using that method.

That's the way I've always done it, nice and easy too.

Actually, I'd say "Put a floppy formatted with XP" in your floppy drive
for the best chances of that floppy being read in another XP PC.
