Favourites question

I tried this and in MY win xp pro, IE 6.0 's Favorites folders, right
clicking does not bring up an option to sort by name. In fact there are no
sort options ortained by right clicking.

You probably did this in the Favorites pane on the left, by clicking on the
Favorites "star" icon on IE's toolbar. You can "sort by name" after right
clicking on the Favorites list accessed by clicking on Favorites on the menu
bar (File..Edit..View..Favorites..Tools..Help)

Jon, Thanks for the post. However, even following your procedure I still
don't get an option to "sort by name". Right clicking the favorites on the
menu brings up this list - standard buttons, address bar, links, show norton
toolbar, aol toolbar, Google, Adobe pdf, lock the toolbar, customize. Nothing
for sorting. What's going on ?

Open Favourites dropdown menu in the Menu bar > Right-click on anything in
the dropdown list > Sort by name > ....

Click on the Favorites selection on the menu bar to open the drop-down list.
Then on any of your Favorites *there*, right click and in the context menu
that comes up you should be able to select "Sort by Name".

Not on my system. It's possible that these other toolbars are interfering.
As a test you could try removing them and see if your symptoms change.

You didn't follow instructions and right-clicked on the toolbar.
Open the Favorites menu. Right-click on an item in it.
Or, English keystrokes: Alt-a,CursorUp,Menu
What do you see?
