Favourites Menu IE6

Hi,
Can anyone please advise how I can permenently delete
unwanted folders from my favourites list? I can delete
these folders but when I close IE6 and return to it they
are back! I never added them in the first place.
 
You can't actually delete certain folders in your Favorites
because Microsoft doesn't allow you to. It's a 'feature'.

What you can do is hide those folders. Right-click on the
folder in question and choose Properties. At the bottom of
the screen check the box marked 'Hidden'. Click OK. You
won't see those folders anymore.

Many thanks for your reply and will do as you suggest. I
dont think however that the folders I wish to remove are
original microsoft items items....they are from an adult
site and named accordingly!

This behavior is often caused by spyware / AD programs. Download all these
tools to eliminate malware from the system:
