I've been using URL Base for a few days now and am very impressed with it.
It will manage your favourites / bookmarks. Among its useful features:
- will import/ export from/ to IE, Netscapse, Mozilla, Opera
- will import/ export URLs from/ to any HTML file
- identifies dupes and lets you delete them
What's nice about the export-to-HTML feature, is that it creates a Table of
Contents with links to the various sub-headings (folders). A lot of similar
proggies such as Bookmark Wizard export to HTML but still force you to
scroll throughout your bookmarks to find the one you are after. If you have
hundreds of URLs stored, it makes it very awkward.
Or, you can simply use the URL Base program itself as your favourties
manager. It has a nicely laid out view, similar to Explorer in Details view.
You can provide a name and searchable description for each URL. You can also
have a column for # of visits and date of last visit, giving you some idea
as to how relevant a link is for you.
Each person can even have their own list of links. So your spouse or partner
can open up their own list of links, no chance of one messing the other one
up.
The free personal edition can be found at:

Very nice and well-thought out program.
