Does IE6 have a way to check that items in the favorites
folders are still active?

That was a feature in Netscape, it marked doubtful URL's
for possible deletion.

Thanks,

DAW

Hi Don -There's no direct IE function for this. Third party programs which
will do this are FavOrg, AM-Deadlink and CIP will do this as part of their
functions:

FavOrg 1.4 here:

http://www.gratilog.net/anglais/internet/favorg.zip
http://uk.geocities.com/personel44/files/favorg.zip

or Version 1.2 here:

http://www.liemar.com.br/construindoseusite/downloads/favorg.zip
http://www.themes.myqth.com/Downloads/favorg.zip

(still free at these links) which will allow you to save favicons.ico
(Favorite Icons) permanently in a different folder and re-associate your
favorites with the stored icons. (It will also verify whether your links in
Favorites are stll good, BTW.)

If you want to read more about FavOrg first, go here:

AM-Deadlink 1.42, here: http://www.webattack.com/get/amdeadlink.shtml

CIP 500, here: http://dl.winsite.com/bin/downl?500000007704
