I'm running XP Home edition and when I open my favorites, the box appears
blank. When I try and add a webpage that I had, it tells me I already have
a webpage named that in that folder. When I try to Organize, again nothing
appears....no folders, URLs or anything. Any ideas?

Also, how do I uninstall IE6 and re-install? I'm thinking this might be the
only fix.

Hi Rafael,

Which box is blank? The "Add to Favorites" dialog?

Hi Rafael,

Which box is blank? The "Add to Favorites" dialog?

When you click on the Favorites button on the toolbar, it opens a panel on
the left side of the browser. This is blank. When I click Organize... the
box that appears is blank as if I have no favorites. If I click Add... , my
Favorites folders appear and this is where if I try to add an existing URL
that I get the error message I described before.

Not able to repro the problem. Test it with Windows Classic theme and see if that helps?

Rafael,

Can you send the screenshot of the window? to my email id ramesh @
mvps.org

Ramesh,

I have sent you 4 screenshots of the various problems I have described.

Rafael, The only way I could repro the problem matching all the 4 probabilities (4 images) is by hiding the entire Favorites folder. So, see if Favorites is set the Hidden attribute and undo the action (apply to sub-folders).

Ramesh, that did the trick! I'm back in business. Thank you again.
