Favorites point to the Windows folder rather than the
Favorites folder. This is the case for only one of four XP
accounts. The others are fine. Also, if I "Open/File" in
MS Word, and select Favorites, it displays the contents of
the Windows folder rather than the Favorites folder. There
must be a setting somewhere, but I can't find it.

Forest,

The Favorites seems to be redirected. Windows XP stores the location of per-user special folders (including favorites path) here:

[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders]
You can change the path there. Or, use TweakUI and change the location of Special folders.

Click on Favorites at the top menu bar. Then click on Move to Folder button
and change the folder back to Favorites folder

Ramesh,

You suggested I look in:

[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Us
er Shell Folders]

But I cannot find this location on my C:/ drive. I'm
running Windows XP Home Edition, version 5.1.2600, service
pack 1.0. Have I missed something?

Thanks,
Forest

Forest,

It's the registry, not the C: drive. Sorry for not explaining this. If you are not familiar with registry, use TweakUI.
