i found this program the other day...haven't seen it mentioned here...

it makes a web page out of your IE bookmarked favorites...are there other
programs out there that do similar things?

Microsoft makes something similar called favtool.exe:

Favorites Plus
Nice find.
FAVORITES HOME PAGE is another (I haven't tried it).

Plus Pricelessware:
The venerable Bookmark Wizard from Moon Software.
Dir2HTML from Jem Berkes.
dirhtml from Eric Nitzsche.
(although I haven't actually tested them with Favorites. Favorites is
one of those special folders that sometimes have unexpected quirks.)

thanks for the link on FHP -- this one looks really good also -- i find that
lots of folks have tons of links to web pages on their desktop -- really
looks messy -- nice to be able to mix local and external links on one
homemade web page...that's the way i do it...

Allen,

Nice program. I just downloaded and ran my favs through it. Easy,
simple, fast. Thanks for un-lurking to share!
