Is there any way of making the Favorites item on the Start Menu point to
Firefox Bookmarks rather than IE Favorites?

Thanks

If not, here's a workaround:

Export FF bookmarks. Export and save IE faves. Delete IE faves from
IE. import FF bookmarks to IE.

Now they're both the same.

Thanks - not quite what I'm after.
If you click on the Start-Favorites option, you get your IE favorites. What
I'm trying to ascertain is if there's a way, if FF is the default browser,
that if you do Start-Favorites then FF Bookmarks appear, not IE favorites.

First, your asking the right question in the wrong forum. You'd do
better in mozilla.support.firefox

Alternive solution - instead of clicking 'Start Menu' followed by
'Favourites' (2 clicks), why not install the Firefox add-on 'all-in-one
sidebar' (current version 0.7.6)? This puts a (very) thin sidebar of
icons on your Firefox. One of these is 'Bookmarks' (one click, linked to
Firefox bookmarks). End of story.
