For some reason my drop down menus (notably Favorites) in IE6 have become
truncated and I have
to click on a down arrow to extend them. How can I reset things so I see the
whole menu?

For the favorites, there's an option in the tools menu, internet
options, advanced, to enable personalized menus. Un-check the box,
apply and okay your way out, restart IE.
