Favorites Menu Missing Sort

A friend of mine is using IE6. When she clicks Favorites, and then right
clicks on the name of a favorite in the list that drops down, there is
no Sort option in the menu that appears. Why isn't it there? I'd
appreciate any suggestions.

Which of the 2 favourites is she clicking on?

I presume it is the one in the bar containing FILE, EDIT VIEW etc., but
I don't know that for certain. Where else would she find Favorites? I
have IE7 and I don't know where there is another place to click
Favorites. IE is not the browser that I ordinarily use, so I'm not
familiar with everything that is available. Thank you for your very
quick reply.

As you say, its the one on the menu bar and not the one on the tool bar.
You LEFT click first on favourites then right click on any entry, left click
on Sort by Name.
I am aware that there are two stars or something top left somewhere in IE7
where you get favourites. Can you sort by name in IE7?

Yes, I can sort with no trouble using the Favorites on the menu bar.
Using the favorites that comes up when I click on the start has no right
click sort option. Perhaps this is what my friend is doing, but I don't
think so. The right click menu that she describes is not the same as the
one that I get however. But she is using IE6, not IE7. Maybe I'll talk
to her again and find out for sure what she is doing. This discussion
has been held over the phone, not in person. Thanks again.

I gave the way for IE6 - thats how I sort. I assume she does have the menu
bar showing?

I'll have to talk to her again and make sure that I understand what she
is doing. But from our conversation I do believe that she's using the
Favorites on the menu bar.

Start | Favorites, scroll to bottom, right click on an entry, select SORT.
does not work from anywhere else.

Just for the record, the person that I was trying to help decided to
upgrade to IE7, so I guess the problem is solved.
