For training purposes, Does anyone know if there is a maximum amount of
favorites one could have, or is it infinite while relying on RAM?

65,535
The limitation is the limitation for files in a folder on your hard disk
format. (Each sub-folder is one of that 65,535, but the sub-folder can also
have 65,535.)

Err, I should have mentioned that long favorite names count as more than one
entry.
