however, I do have a folder on my hard drive with all my favorites in it.
I followed the tips from Ramesh to DVR (see 8/9/04 post) but it didn't help.

Previously I followed a "fix" I found on Microsoft's website where I
inserted the path to favorites folderinto the registry at:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell
Folders]
[HKEY_USERS\.default\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders]
[HKEY_USERS\.default\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders]

If I try to add a webpage to "rebuild" my favorites, it shows my favorites
just as they were before and I cannot add anything that was already there,
which is what I want to do. If I go to "Organize Favorites" it is blank.
Anyone have some suggestions? Thanks.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders]

Most importantly, alter the User Shell Folders - Favorites value to REG_EXPAND_SZ "%Userprofile%\Favorites" (for 2000/XP systems) and C:\Windows\Favorites for Windows 9x.
