Favorites folder?

I don't know what happened, but have discovered that
my favorites have disappeared. I have a copy of the
star shaped folder in a bin, but where nust it go to
have it working again?

Is this "bin" you mention the Recycle Bin? If so, select the icon and
choose 'Restore this item'.
 
No, just a temporary storing folder. Many thanks
though, but I
have managed to solve the problem by copying the
backup favorites
file on the the organise favorites window on Internet
Explorer's toolbar. Still don't know what happened,
though.

I was using IE 6.0 when my hard drive crashed, and I lost all my Favourites.
Luckily I have a backup of my entire drive, so I guess I can bring them back
somehow - does anyone know how? And preferably for IE 7.0, which I'm using
now.

Consult the documentation of the software you used to make the backup. This
should be the same procedure as you would use to restore any file from a
backup. Copy the favorites from your backup into the favorites folder of
your computer.
