Hello all;
For the last several weeks I've noticed that when deleting an entry from a
folder in the favorites menu, it can take upwards of several minutes to
complete. Given that this box used to do that in a fraction of a second,
I'd say that this isn't proper operation.
Although I regularly defrag, run the disk-checker, and have less than 25% on
my HDD; I did those operations again to make sure no such nonsense was
interfering. No joy!
I also copied the folder to another location, deleted the existing entries,
and copied them back. I checked for overly long URL names, and weird
symbols in the name string. All negative.
I have about 2500 entries in, 689 folders, for 9.76 MB. I run Win2k Pro, on
a 1.8Mhz Dell. I'm up to the latest releases on everything--including that
update from several weeks ago...
Anybody got any ideas?
TIA,
DBlair
