Favorites Default Folder

I am running IE 6.0 on an MS NT 4.0 workstation.

I changed the setting for Favorites under the following
registry location to another folder:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersio
n\Explorer\ShellFolders]

The change is accepted but upon start of the IE, this
registry value is reverted back to the previous value.

Does anyone know how to prevent this from happening or set
a different default Favorites folder?
 
Did you also change it here?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders

If so, or that key does not have Favorites, then try the equivalent
key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

I am facing the same problem with saving changes to the
registry. Could you successfully save the changes?
Would appreciate it if you could let me know how to do it.
