My Favorites are not working correctly. If I click on IE 6 Favorites then a
Windows Exporer will open with the main listing of them. Then I have to right
click and select properties then copy the link and paste it in the IE6
address. When I click on IE Favorites it only shows the main listing, but it
does not show any others in the same catagory listing.

Hi Doc :-)

Try the following and see if it helps:

This is most likely due to corrupt InternetShortcut or http file
association. "Reset Web Settings" fixes this symptom. Another option is to
run the command "regsvr32 /i shdocvw.dll" from Start/Run dialog.

You need to edit the registry. See "Description of the Microsoft Windows
registry" article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;256986

If you don't prefer editing the registry, use this utility and reset the
Favorites path to defaults.

* Select Favorites from the listbox and note down the value there.
* Optionally, you can backup the current user shell folder settings by
clicking "backup ......." button.
* Select Favorites from the listbox and click "Restore default" button in
the right-side.

Be sure that you have no scumware on your system that may cause the problem.

If these steps do not resolve your problem, please post back to this thread

Hope this helps
