Favorite Folders disappear when Outlook restarts after rebooting

I use Outlook 2007 on Vista SP1 32 bit.

I use Outlook for everything and rely on it heavily.

As of yesterday I found that my list of Favorite Folders had disappeared
when I opened Outlook. I recreated them and, lo and behold, today they've
gone again.
I've just added one and closed and reopened Outlook and it' still there but
suspect that either when I reboot or when I open on a new day they'll have
gone again.

Has anyone heard of this / have any ideas?

Outlook Connect also insist on logging in manually twice every time I open
Outlook but I suspect that this is a different thing.

Thanks for any help offered.

Steve

See if starting Outlook with the resetnavpane switch works for you;
Start-> type; outlook.exe /resetnavpane

Make sure Outlook is fully closed before using this switch.

I have similar issue with Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007. The only difference
is the folders are content management folders on another server that are
added to favorite folders. Each time I add these folder, quit outlook (2003
or 2007), start outlook, the folders are gone. I have read on another forum
(link below) where they have reported the same issue.

https://forums.microsoft.com/Dynamics/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=3674759&SiteID=27

Starting Outlook with the resetnavpane switch does not resolve the issue for
me.

Thanks

I failed to mention that in my case, when I restart start Outlook(2203/2007)
the newly added folder in previous outlook session show up for few seconds
and then disappear.

Is anyone esle seeing this?

Just to say thanks.

So these folders are added programmatically via an addin?
Then I would contact the vendor of that CMS addin to verify what is going
on.

If you disable that addin and add some Favorite Folders of your own, do they
get saved now?
