On recommendation from someone here I think, years ago I bought an
Antec 3700.

.... lower front intake fan sucking air into the case through a filter
and blowing the air over the hard drive rack, there is an open area on
the underside that can be covered with packaging tape if necessary
forcing the intake air through the filter

.... easy to remove side panel, great for temporarily getting into the
case (depending on how your case is situated)

I guess there's no reason to plan ahead for buying a new case if the
ATX form factor continues and power supplies remain the same size. Any
cool features I'm missing?

....
Where do you get case parts? Like back slot plates, MB adapter
plates and front bay covers? Not to mention draw slides and
mounting hardware for components.

They wear out?

They disappear over time. Modifications come and go, cases last a
long time. I've upgraded several many times. Also, people borrow
and I repair others with my parts. Does it matter?

That's what matter?
